Michael Lacey, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric physician at Orthopaedic Surgical Consultants in Merrillville, Indiana.
A graduate of Fairfield University in Connecticut, where he received his bachelor of science in biology, Dr. Lacey went on to earn his medical degree at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his three-year, accredited podiatric medical and surgical residency training at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York, where he served as chief resident from 2003 to 2004.
While an undergraduate, Dr. Lacey’s career choice was influenced when his father, a diabetic, suffered an injury on a construction site that nearly cost him his leg. When Dr. Lacey observed the limb-saving care a podiatrist provided his father, Dr. Lacey was inspired to become a podiatrist himself.
Since 2004, Dr. Lacey has been providing podiatric care to patients, first at the Foot and Ankle Clinics of America in Chicago, Illinois, and subsequently in Merrillville, Indiana, and Schaumburg, Illinois. He joined Orthopaedic Surgical Consultants in 2017.
